Introducing Vox Power’s New Digitally Enabled NEVO+ Output Modules

Ecopac Power, UK distributor for Vox Power, are pleased to announce the launch of Vox Power’s new digitally enabled output modules for the NEVO+ 600W and NEVO+ 1200W configurable AC-DC power supply series.

Designed to simplify system integration and provide greater control, the new output modules feature a PMBus™ 1.2 compatible interface with I²C communication, delivering intelligent monitoring and control capabilities directly at the output module level. Fully mechanically compatible with existing NEVO+ output module slots, they allow engineers to upgrade to digital functionality without redesigning existing systems.

Intelligent Power Control for Demanding Applications

The NEVO+ series is renowned for its compact footprint, high power density, and exceptional flexibility, making it ideal for applications where size, weight, and efficiency are critical. Available in 600W and 1200W platforms, the modular architecture enables designers to configure multiple isolated outputs tailored to their exact power requirements.

With up to 16 isolated outputs, modules can be connected in series or parallel to achieve higher voltage or current levels, providing a fully safety-approved, customisable power solution for industrial, medical, test & measurement, semiconductor, and automation applications.

The new digitally enabled modules are available in the following voltage and power ratings:

• OP1D: 0–7.5V, 25A, 125W
• OP2D: 0–15V, 15A, 150W
• OP3D: 0–30V, 7.5A, 150W
• OP4D: 0–58V, 3.75A, 150W
• OPA2D: 0–15V, 25A, 300W
• OPA3D: 0–30V, 15A, 300W

Open-Source Digital Development Kit

To help customers accelerate development and reduce the complexity of working directly with PMBus™, Vox Power has also introduced an open-source Digital Development Kit based on the ESP32 microcontroller.

The kit provides an intuitive development environment with SCPI and web-based control, making it quick and straightforward to evaluate, configure, and integrate digitally controlled power supplies into embedded systems.

Key features include:

• Browser-based web interface with virtual instrument and data logging capabilities
• VISA-compatible SCPI command interpreter for automated test and custom programming
• Direct PMBus access for advanced development
• Simultaneous control and monitoring of up to eight digital output modules
• Configuration storage with non-volatile memory plus JSON export/import for repeatable production and factory programming
