The 5” x 3” PCB dimension has been dominant in the PCB-type power supply market for many years. MEAN WELL also offered several models from ranging from 45W to 200W. To meet the requirements of new miniature size and higher wattage applications, MEAN WELL have now introduced 300W high power density (14.5 W/in3) models~ RPS-300 Series and EPP-300 series, to provide a more complete choice of power supplies for all types of applications. RPS-300 series are designed to comply with international medical safety regulations (MOPP level) and are characterized by low leakage current (≦300μA at 264VAC) that are suitable for “patient contact” equipment, which can fulfill the high quality demands of medical applications. Meanwhile the EPP-300 series, the industrial level PCB power, are suitable to use in the IT systems and industrial machinery/electrical equipments.
Featuring a built-in active PFC function and 90~264VAC full range input, RPS-300 and EPP-300 series are designed by up-to-date LLC topology and synchronize rectify technology. Featuring 93% of extremely high efficiency and providing 200W continuously up to 50℃ by only free air convection (300W with 20.5CFM forced air), or operate under 70oC ambient temperature by suitable power derating.
Both series equipped with the function of 300VAC input surge immunity for 5 seconds, which can reduce the damages caused by the unstable AC main. Other standard features include P.G./ P.F. signal output, built-in remote sense, 12V/0.5A auxiliary output, protections for short circuit, overload, over voltage, and over temperature. Both units are equipped with built-in remote ON/OFF control and 5V/1A standby output to achieve the goal of “no load power consumption <0.5W”, hence, they can be used in all kinds of “green mode” medical equipment or electric devices where full energy-saving requirements for end systems are demanded.
Both the RPS-300 series and the EPP-300 series comply with global certificates per UL/CUL/TUV/CB/CE medical safety regulations and IT certificates respectively, which can greatly guarantee your safety.
